Operating the Tensile Interface Software

The TensileMill CNC classic is designed with the user in mind. Our built-in software interface makes it easy for the operator to carefully control the entirety of the machining process without requiring any special training or knowledge, making it perfect for lab personnel.

Instead of CAD or CAM advanced software, the TensileMill CNS is programmed with Carbon, a built-in, user-friendly touch-screen interface that allows the operator to quickly and easily enter the desired tensile specimen sizes.

The customizable parameters include:
Gauge length
Width of the reduced section
Radius of the fillet
Total length of the specimen
Length of the reduced section
Length of the grip section
Width of the grip section

These values can be input manually or selected from the saved library of DIN, ISO, ASTM, and JIS industry standards for tensile specimens.
Values can also be easily switched between imperial and metric units.

After entering these values, all the operator needs to do is press start. At this point, the machine is ready to mill the tensile specimen to the input specifications.
Once inputted, these values can be saved to the Quick Launch menu so that the operator does not need to input the same values repeatedly, saving time and maximizing productivity. All it takes is one touch of a button for a tensile specimen to be replicated.

The Carbon software interface will continue to be improved upon in order to keep up with industry standards and improve functionality for users. These continuous updates and improvements will be uploaded to all active TensileMill CNC systems at no additional cost.Contact us today to learn more.
